Privacy Policy
Last updated October 11, 2026
Lew (“Lew”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Reliant Strategic Advisors. This policy explains what information we collect when you use asklew.com, app.asklew.com or Lew in a chat app such as Telegram, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions:privacy@asklew.com.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address and a one-way hash of your password.
- Security information: the IP address, browser and time of sign-ins and account changes, used to protect your account and shown to you in Settings.
- Connected account data: when you connect a Google account, the email, calendar and contact information Lew needs to carry out your requests (see “Google user data” below).
- Your conversations with Lew, and the reminders, to-dos and drafts that come out of them.
- What Lew remembers about you: short notes he keeps as you chat about the people, places, to-dos, projects and preferences in your life, so you don’t have to repeat yourself. You can see, delete or wipe them at any time on the Memory page, and export them.
- Support messages you send us.
We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell your information.
How we use information
- To provide Lew: answering your questions, drafting messages for your approval, managing your calendar and to-dos.
- To secure your account: confirming your email, resetting your password, detecting abuse.
- To keep Lew to an assistant’s job: each message is checked automatically to see whether it’s something a personal assistant would do. When Lew declines a message as outside that role (for example, writing software code), we record only the type of request and a one-line reason, not your message. If you report the decision as wrong, we ask you first and, if you agree, share that one message with our team so they can review it. Your other messages are never shown to our team.
- To prevent abuse: an account that repeatedly asks for harmful or out-of-scope things can be paused automatically. You can still sign in to see why, send us an appeal that a person reads, or delete your account. To appeal, you agree to share the requests Lew declined in the week before the pause (you see exactly which ones first) so our team can review them.
- To send you service emails, such as confirmations and security notices.
- To comply with the law.
Google user data
If you connect a Google account, Lew requests access to Gmail, Google Calendar and related data only to provide the features you use: searching and reading messages you ask about, preparing drafts that you review and send yourself, and reading and updating your calendar at your request.
- Lew's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to theGoogle API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
- We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
- No one at Lew reads your Google data unless you give us explicit permission (for example, for support), it is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, or it is required by law.
- We transfer Google user data to the service providers listed below only as needed to provide Lew's features to you.
- You can disconnect your Google account in Lew at any time, or revoke access from yourGoogle account settings. When you disconnect, we delete the access tokens and the Google data we hold for that account.
Service providers
We share information only with providers that help us run Lew, under contracts that limit their use of it to that purpose:
- Cloud hosting and database providers, which store Lew's data.
- An AI model provider, which processes the content of your requests to generate Lew's answers and drafts, and does not use it to train its models.
- An email delivery provider, which sends our service emails.
If you chat with Lew in a messaging app such as Telegram, that app carries your messages to and from Lew, and its own privacy policy applies to them. You choose which messaging app to use, and can use asklew.com instead.
We may also disclose information when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and of Lew.
Retention and deletion
- We keep your account information while your account is open.
- You can delete your account from Settings at any time. This permanently deletes your account, your connected-account tokens and the data Lew holds for you.
- We keep a minimal security log (event type, time, IP address) for up to one year to protect the service, no longer linked to your account once it is deleted.
- Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis, within 30 days.
Security
We protect your information with industry-standard measures, described on ourSecurity page. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your information, and to object to or restrict some uses of it. Email privacy@asklew.comand we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Lew is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will email you or notify you in Lew before they take effect.
